When science meets music: a performance at  the Baltic Sea Festival
14 September 2023

The Swedish Radio Concert Hall Berwaldhallen hosted the Baltic Sea Festival, one of Europe's largest festivals for classical music. Over the last two decades, the festival  has been a meeting place where concert experiences are mixed with initiatives for a more sustainable Baltic Sea region.
Within the festival, an experimental melting pot, the Baltic Sea Festival Science Lab, brought together nine young researchers and nine young composers. They had worked together with a director to create 3 performances that combine scientific research and artistic expression.

Those creations were performed live during the festival in collaboration with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

CRiceS researcher Gabriel Freitas (Stockholm University) participated in one performance. His talk "The journey of bacteria - sea spray particles" starts at 8min20.
